Backflow Testing, Certification & Repair in Sussex County, NJ — All 24 Municipalities

Sussex County Backflows

South Jersey Backflow serves all 24 Sussex County municipalities with certified annual backflow preventer testing, repair, and enclosure installation. Sussex County is New Jersey’s northernmost county — encompassing the highest point in New Jersey (High Point, 1,803 feet in Wantage Township), the least populous municipality in New Jersey (Walpack Township, ~16 residents), the world’s premier fluorescent mineral collecting site (Franklin Borough’s Franklin Mineral Museum), the Great Falls of the Musconetcong at Stanhope Borough, the shores of Lake Hopatcong (NJ’s largest lake) at Hopatcong Borough, and the extraordinary Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Sussex County’s water service is dominated by private wells and individual municipal water systems — public water supply is more limited here than in any other New Jersey county. Call (856) 291-6809 or contact South Jersey Backflow to schedule service anywhere in Sussex County.

Private Wells — Predominant Throughout Sussex County

The majority of Sussex County’s rural municipalities — Andover Borough, Andover Township, Branchville, Frankford, Fredon, Green, Hampton, Lafayette (partial), Montague, Sandyston, Stillwater, Walpack, and Wantage (partial) — are primarily served by private well systems not subject to N.J.A.C. 7:14B annual testing requirements. For any public water connections in these municipalities, South Jersey Backflow files with the applicable water authority.
